Virtual Private Servers
(Experimental)johndigweed

 

Starting with version 2.3 Final and higher, Dominios Latinos offers Virtual Private Servers. It gives users series of advantages and priviledges. VPS user control panel differs from simple control panels. User can handle his own virtual server manually while user control panel allows to change some basic account and server settings. You can do the following in your user control panel:johndigweed

Checking Virtual Server Statusjohndigweed

Such as installing Virtual Server takes a while, VPS will not be activated right away after signup. Until it gets activated, you can view only billing info and trouble ticket system in your user control panel. To make sure that VPS is actvated and can be administered, you can check the VPS status:johndigweed

  1. On the user control panel home page, select the Virtual Private Server menu.
  2. johndigweed

  3. Select Server Info. The following page will show:

  5. If you need to restart VPS, click the Stop it link. To activate it later, click the Start It link.

Add Custom DNS Recordsjohndigweed

To configure DNS zones and add custom DNS records:johndigweed

  1. Select VPS DNS Zone in the Virtual Private Server menu. The following page shows:

  2. To add a custom DNS record, click the link in the necessary DNS record section.

Change Root passwordjohndigweed

You can log into your virtual server with a root password. In case you want to change it, do the following:johndigweed

  1. Select Root password in the Virtual Private Server menu.

  2. Enter a new password and confirm it again.
  3. Click the Change Edit button.

Add VPS IP.johndigweed

You can add more IPs to your virtual server:johndigweed

  1. Select Server IPs in the Virtual Private Server menu.

  2. To delete existing IP, click the Trash icon next to it.

Change Server Limits.johndigweed

You can enlarge or decrease server limits in the user control panel:johndigweed

  1. Select Server limits in the Virtual Private Server menu.

    johndigweed

  2. To change a limit, click the Change icon in the corresponding Action section.
  3. On the page that appears, enter a new limit and click Submit.
